"Wake up and smell the coffee!”  Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Ashland favorite Gretchen Rumbaugh returns to portray Eppie Lederer, the celebrated advice columnist known to millions as Ann Landers. For decades Ann Landers’ daily newspaper column answered readers’ letters on countless topics including pre-marital (and post-marital) sex, family conflicts, vacuuming in the nude, addictions, and the proper way to hang toilet paper.

Directed by OSF’s Terri McMahon, this wise, funny, no-nonsense woman conducted a daily dialogue with America that reflected and shaped the changing of our culture during the turbulent 60’s and 70’s.

On this night in 1975 she’s got a problem of her own as she hangs out with us in her Chicago penthouse sharing wit and wisdom, bon bons and bon mots – and avoiding writing the toughest column of her career.
